ground

mountains and forests splintered, and splintering,
stretch heaven high in a grand whirling spiral
arcing through a sky reduced to tatters and rags.
strains of the village hurtle past slabs of the ground below
which has taken leave of the bedrock. white light ever brighter.
i see the being of light flying in the space between stars
remnants of the world splayed in its wake.
and then it all goes black. it all goes black.
